Dominique Moody
Master of Ceremony
Dominique Moody is a reporter with NBC Washington who covers breaking news and
community stories. Since joining NBC4 in June 2022, he’s done extensive reporting on the 2022 University of Virginia Shooting, Southwest Travel Meltdown, Education and spoken with countless families who have lost loved ones to gun violence in the DMV area.
Prior to moving to Washington, D.C., Moody reported for WNCT in Greenville, NC, and NBC Connecticut where he earned an EMMY nomination for his breaking news
coverage of a plane crash in September 2021. The Radio and Television News
Directors Association recognized his work as a reporter and producer on stories
including The African American Music Trails of Eastern North Carolina and the 2018
election.
Moody was born and raised in Durham, North Carolina. Moody graduated with honors
from North Carolina A&T State University with a Bachelors of Science in Journalism &
Mass Communications. While in college, he interned with PBS & UNC-TV, Good
Morning America, ABC News, ESPN and WRAL. Moody is a proud member of Alpha
Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and the National Association of Black Journalists. He lives in
Prince George’s County with his fiancée.
